A classical touch

The yellow rose is a prominent theme throughout the book, so I wanted that to be the focus of the cover photography.

The website, as always, was kept simple: a 5 page navigation, off-white text with elegant fonts, specially sourced to match the book cover. Although a tablet website wasn't required, I designed the site so that when resized, the content and background scale accordingly.

Finishing touches included unique social media icons and vector rose swirls to match the book.

I was initially asked by Christine to produce to cover photography for her debut novel. Having completed this, she asked if I would be interested in designing and building the website to publicise the book.

The brief was to keep the style of the website and book in keeping with one another, echoing the content of the period novel.

Working closely

to get it right

Christine had a good idea of how she wanted the book and website to look and by working closely with her I was able to reach an outcome she was very happy with.

The novel is now available online and in bookshops.

"James shot and produced the image for the cover of my book, to a tight brief. I was extremely impressed with the images he produced and his creativity at the shoot. He then used the photography to create a stylish, easy to navigate website to promote the book. He really brought my vision to life and was very easy to work with. Highly recommended!"
